The weekend of 11th to 13th March saw members of the Eulogica team attend the 2016 SAIF AGM at the Vale Hotel near Cardiff.
Friday afternoon started with the guest speaker Simon Weston CBE. Simon is a veteran of the British Army who has become well known throughout the United Kingdom for his recovery and charity work after suffering severe burn injuries during the Falklands War. His message is one of achievement, of triumph over adversity, of seizing the moment and succeeding. During Friday evening, Golden Charter hosted their annual Funeral Planner of the year awards in a ‘Top of the Pops’ themed evening. There were 8 Eulogica clients nominated for awards with 5 of those winning their respective categories. The 8 nominations were; N Alderson Funeral Director Ltd, John Fraser & Son, Tovey Bros., Phillip Tom & Sons Ltd, Ernest Heal & Sons Funeral Directors Ltd, T Cribb & Sons, Melville & Daughters Funeral Directors & William Hall Independent Funeral Directors. The AGMs for SAIF and SAIFCharter were held on Saturday morning with various posts changing hands. Following the AGM’s, a lively Question Time style session with members of the boards of SAIFCharter and Golden Charter was held. Saturday evenings black tie Banquet was started with the Llanelli Male Voice Choir and later followed by the local band ‘Bring the Noise’.
Sunday morning saw the installation of officers for 2016. All at Eulogica would like to congratulate Gemma O’Driscoll on a successful year, and wish new President Paul Allcock all the very best for his year in office.
