Regular readers of the Eulogica Bulletin will know that for many years we have supported the Care and Love Orphanage in Hyderabad, India. At Christmas we make a donation to them instead of sending out Christmas cards, but we also offer support at other times. During the last couple of years, medical issues have naturally been at the forefront their minds. We were delighted to be able to contribute towards a medical/isolation room within the orphanage.

Nutan from the orphanage explains the value of the isolation room to them; “Let me assure you that the isolation room setup means so much to us and is crucial during this pandemic situation where it is hard to find a bed in hospitals, and hospitals in Hyderabad are charging a huge fee to provide a single bed for a patient. We are taking all the precautions we can and hopefully we may not be exposed to the Virus, but unknowingly if the virus passes through any of the kids, the facilities will make really a very big difference. The best thing about these facilities is, it is going to be useful in the long run, saves so much on the expenses which otherwise, we would have incurred.”

As well as supporting the general running of the orphanage, we also directly support three of the children there, nicknamed the “Eulogica Kids”. They are making great progress, as Nutan describes below.

“Offline schools and colleges were reopened on September 1st 2021 and the kids resumed going for regular classes.

Sanjana: Since she is 10th class she is working hard to achieve her desired percentage. These days she is completely immersed in her studies and she even joined the extra tuitions for scoring better and improving her grades. I have also planned to have a career guidance session in mid of December 2021 to decide in which stream she could proceed. Overall, she is a bright kid and doing good.

Sai Kiran:He has chosen in Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) and completed his first year and has another 2 years to complete his Bachelors and to get the job. He is very well mannered and helps in the home for domestic works and overall, he is growing up to be a good young man.

Anusha: Anusha is doing very well at her academics and scored good percentage. She is responsible, organized and growing up with confidence and self-esteem day by day. As soon as she finishes her 4th year which completes by July 2022, she will be placed in a Job. She is also simultaneously planning a correspondence course in MBA.”
