With GDPR upon us it is more important than ever before to keep your data safe and secure. A simple, yet effective way of doing this is by encrypting the data. Even though Eulogica itself will have an encrypted database for GDPR there are many things that you often forget also contain sensitive information. Pictures of the clients or their relatives and documents containing personal information, such as names, are just a few of the many things that need to be kept safe.
Therefore, Eulogica will now offer to help with setting up BitLocker. What is BitLocker? It is a free encryption tool from Windows that is included in the Pro and Enterprise versions of Windows 8 and 10 operating systems as well as the Ultimate and Enterprise versions of Windows Vista and 7. After GDPR, normal password protected users and clearing the hard drive will not be good enough; since there are plenty of ways around that. Encryption makes sure that your data is protected even if your unit is lost or stolen, it also makes the disposal of old units safer.
At the price of 1 hour of installation time (£100 excl.VAT) for the first computer and an additional 30 minutes of installation time for any additional computers, Eulogica will help you configure and activate BitLocker as well as give you advice on how to manage your password and restoration key.
