After over ten years of updates, support for Windows 7 has finally come to an end. Support ended for Windows 7 ended globally on January the 14th. Both Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Home will no longer receive software updates.

What does this mean?

This means that Windows 7 will no longer receive updates to make the operating system more safe, secure and efficient. Therefore, there will be no new features for Windows 7 in the future and no new security updates to prevent machines from being infected with viruses.

Will Eulogica still run on Windows 7?

Theoretically, Eulogia could continue to run on Windows 7 however we do not recommend this for two reasons.

  1. Client data can no longer be held to our standards of safe on these Windows 7 machines.
  2. Future versions of the Eulogica software will be optimised around the most current version of Windows 10.

What should I do?

If you are currently using a machine that runs a valid copy of Windows 7 you should be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free. However, it’s important to back up important files from your old machine including the Eulogica Database.

For more information on backing up Eulogica related data please contact Eulogica support on support@eulogica.com or 0845 3519 935
