Some times you may find that the date or currency settings shown by a certain PC when using Eulogica are incorrect. Eulogica actually uses the local settings of the PC or Remote Desktop session. There is no option within Eulogica to change these settings and they must be changed on the Windows operating system. However, this is a very simple thing to change within Windows…

If you are using Windows 7, please look at the instructions in the next section instead.

  • Go to the Start / Windows button of your PC.
  • Then select Settings and Control Panel.
  • Double click on Regional and Language Options.
  • This will open up the Regional and Language Options window where you can then select the way you would like the date to be displayed and also the currency.
  • You can normally select the English (United Kingdom) option which will normally set the date format and the currency.
  • Sometimes you may need to click the Customize button which will open up another window.
  • Here you can then select individually various date and currency formats by selecting the appropriate tab and then selecting the option.
  • You should then click OK to save your settings and close the Regional and Language Options window.
  • Finally, you may need to log out of Eulogica and back in again for the changes to take effect.

Please be aware that if you are using Eulogica via a Remote Desktop session back to the head office, you must ensure the above procedure is carried out on the remote desktop and not the local physical PC’s desktop. Altering the settings on the local PC will have no effect if you are running a Remote Desktop session.

Windows 7 Users

In Windows 7 please follow the following directions.

  • Go to the Start / Windows button of your PC.
  • Then select Control Panel.
  • At the top-right of Control Panel there is a View By option. Choose Small icons here.
  • Click Region & Language.
  • Here you can set date and time formats.
  • If you click the Additional settings… button you can choose currency symbols and further details.
  • Press the OK button to save the settings and close the window.
  • Close Control Panel and you can carry on as normal.
  • Finally, you may need to log out of Eulogica and back in again for the changes to take effect.

We have found that in some cases on Windows 7 the system still gets mixed up. If this is happening, follow the Windows 7 instructions above once more to open the Region and Language Options window and then:

  • Change the Format to English (United States).
  • Click the Apply button.
  • Change the language back to English (United Kingdom).
