Hainsworth Mill Visit - The Woollen Coffin
The Hainsworth Mill, Pudsey
The recent NAFD Yorkshire Area Federation meeting was held at Hainsworth Mill in Pudsey West Yorkshire. Hainsworth Mill produce the Natural Legacy range of woollen coffins, along with a huge range of products ranging from Ceremonial paradewear, Billiard/Snooker & Pool cloth, Firefighters fabric, Piano cloth & felt to Hot air balloon fabric and car head linings. The list is endless and extremely varied. David Wright from Eulogica was one of the attendees.
The Natural Legacy Woollen Coffin range by Hainsworth offers an extensive selection of environmentally friendly funeral products that are not only fully biodegradable, but offer a soft and gentle alternative to the more traditional materials. As well as woollen coffins, woolen ashes caskets and woollen child/infant caskets are also available. These products are complimented by a range of other textile funeral products.
The tour around the mill was fascinating and a real eye-opener to all the complex processes that go into making not only woollen coffins, but all textile products.
