The 2013 NAFD Yorkshire Federation Annual General Meeting was held at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford on 27th April, and Eulogica were represented by Client Support Manager, Nick Stokes. Prior to the AGM itself there was an opportunity for attendees to view exhibition stands from various suppliers to the profession, some local and some from further afield.

There were also two very interesting educational sessions; first, Daisy Shale gave a talk on the forthcoming changes to the medical examiners system, then Robert Rowntree of Kenyon International gave a presentation on what Kenyon’s do, and his experiences dealing with disasters in the field. These sessions were followed by the AGM proper, which saw interesting reports from Phil Barr, outgoing Yorkshire NAFD President and Steve Pearce, NAFD National President. The new officers for the Federation were also elected, including Eulogica client Clive Pearson of Pearson Funeral Service as the new Yorkshire President.

The day was concluded with a black-tie banquet, giving the attendees chance to relax over a very enjoyable dinner. Further speeches were given, and the Presidential Chain was handed over to Clive, who gave his inaugural address. The evening was concluded with a raffle, and a lively disco.
